The sole base is braided of jute using traditional techniques, with a natural rubber outsole for grip and durability. The insole has a soft, cushioning natural latex bottom covered with vegetable tanned leather.

Abarca makes its espadrilles by hand in Murcia, Spain. All the materials used are organic, and they are mostly sourced from local producers for the smallest possible carbon footprint. It also allows them to have very strict quality requirements for their materials. Abarca's sustainable approach has made them famous around the world, where you can find them at over 400 retailers.
